The main draw to go to Pokhara is the picture perfect backdrop of Himalayan peaks. The views are stunning and you just don't get used to them. Part from that, it's a laid back place where you can catch a second breath after being in dusty Thamel. Renting one of the colourful boats to row on the lake is a must, being surrounded by the reflected peaks. Climbing all the way to the top of the world peace pagoda, or watch the sunset from Sarangot will give you amazing views again. But Pokhara is more then only views. It is home to many adventure sports and we can recommend the paragliding. Floating through air among eagles with the Himalayas behind you and the lake beneath you can only make you quiet.
