We arrived in Bangkok finding ourselves amid the protests. Bangkok is truly Thailand's center and playground. And although getting around wasn't that easy with protesters taking over parts of the city, and the subway or BTS overcrowded, we liked Bangkok right away.

With plenty of magnificent sights, such as the Royal Palace, you wont get bored easily. On the site of the Royal palace we where pleasantly surprised by the exposition held about textiles in Thailand and the outfits of the Queen of Thailand. Every detail from the exhibition was beautifully designed, from the graphic design to the movie about silk weaving. Worth a visit.

Nothing beats watching the skyline from one of many Bangkok's water taxi's, and it's an easy way to get around. Our favorite place must be Chinatown in the evening when the whole sidewalk turns into an open air restaurant. Go for grilled seafood or noodle soup, together with the locals, you won't regret it.
